The Public Art Academy in Denver will cover the business side of making art from Marketing to Public Art Commissions at a forum next weekend, March 13 & 14, 2010. They have a line-up of speakers that will enable artists to take their business to the next level.

OpenArts featured artists this Thursday @ Rembrandt Yard

Join us on January 21st, 6-8:30pm, for the opening of the newest show of OpenArts artists. This show will feature the work of Maria Neary, Donna Mayo, Bill Stoehr, Steven Zimmermann and John Waugh. All of these artists have participated in our Fall Studio Tour.

This event is free and open to the public.

Our friends at Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA) would like you to know about the following:

Attention all art lovers! elephantjournal.com and BMoCA are proud to host the annual Open Wall and silent auction to benefit the arts community.

Friday, January 22 at 7pm

This event is open to artists of all mediums and all ages (children welcome). Space is first come, first serve, and typically fills up fast. DOORS OPEN AT 7PM, nails and hammers provided.

Citizen Artists: If you would like to sell your piece, a silent auction will take place from 8 – 10pm to raise money to support the museum…and to support you (a 50/50 split)!

Or, looking to purchase original, fine art? Our silent auction is a great way to support the museum and local artists, and uplift your walls.

Additionally, the museum’s upstairs gallery will feature elephantjournal.com’s selection of community artists. This specially curated space will also offer a grouping of eco-art pieces, complete with
“do-it-yourself” tips for “greening” your studio.

The evening will include music by Harper Phillips and a cash bar with beer generously provided by New Belgium Brewery. Admission is a $5 suggested donation.

Voices V Art Show Opening 1.8.10

Please join OpenArts and Rembrandt Yard as we host the 5th annual Voices Art Show sponsored by YOAB and the City of Boulder. This show features the work of local high school students and professional artists. Included are a number of OpenArts artists. This show will run through January 16th on the 2nd floor of Rembrandt Yard.
