Maria Neary opening @ Sync Gallery

Opening Reception: Friday, May 21, 6-9pm
Sync Gallery,878 – 1 Santa Fe Drive, Denver CO 80204
OPEN 6 DAYS A WEEK: Mon – Fri 10am – 5pm; Sat 12pm – 4pm, First & Third Fridays until 9pm

Maria enjoys working in series, as this gives her the opportunity to fully explore ideas. Her new acrylic/mixed-media paintings use the grid as a starting point. Familiar images such as birds, houses and airplanes have become a part of her visual language. Her background as an animator continues to influence her style. Putting together words and images to create her visual journal is what inspires her. Her work encourages the viewer to interpret and create their own story.

Maria, a mixed media artist, has participated in the Open Studios Fall Artist Tour for several years. She has also been featured in the Open Studios Gallery at Rembrandt Yard.

Bill Stoehr adds another opening at the Dairy Center

Due to an ice storm during the first opening, Bill Stoehr will hold a mini-opening on Sunday, March 14 from 1 – 4pm at the Dairy Center for the Arts here in Boulder. Bill will also be participating in an artists’ talk at the Dairy Center for the Arts on Wednesday March 10 from 5 to 6 pm. He will have time to describe his work in this exhibit and answer questions.
Bill Stoehr is currently showing at the Open Studios Gallery at Rembrant Yard, 1301 Spruce Street, Boulder. He has also participated in the Open Studios Fall Artist Tour.

Open Studios is now OpenArts

On January 1, 2010, the Open Studios organization became known as OpenArts. This name change is in recognition of our broader role in the arts and the community. “Open Studios” will continue on as the brand name for our premier fall event.The Board’s decision to undergo a name change was the result of the acquisition of Clementine Studio, the Spring Art Fair and the Holiday Market. Suddenly, Open Studios was so much more than a fall artist studio tour.

OpenArts is:

* The Open Studios Fall Artist Tour
* The Open Studios Spring Art Fair
* The Open Studios Holiday Market
* The Clementine Studio
* The Open Studios Gallery at Rembrandt Yard
* Education Links

In an effort to inform the public that all of these events and activities are owned and presented by one organization, it has became apparent that a new umbrella name is necessary. We hope you understand the need for this change and trust that we will continue to promote our events and activities with the familiar brand redundancy we all know and love.
