Gretchen Acharya to give free pastel demonstrations

Artist Gretchen Acharya offering the following free pastel demonstrations:

Gretchen Paints Trees, Pastel Demonstration at the Pastel Society of Colorado meeting, Saturday, March 13, at 1:00 at the Art Students League of Denver, 200 Grant, Denver.

Gretchen Paints a Waterfall, Pastel Demonstration at the Louisville Art Association meeting, Thursday, March 11, at 6:30 at the Louisville Center for the Arts, 801 Grant.

If you miss those or just want more, Gretchen will give a demo at the BAA meeting in April.

Gretchen has been a participating artist in the Open Studios Fall Artist Tour and the Open Studios Spring Art Fair.

Art opening & artist demonstration on 3/5

The public is invited to an Art show Opening at Haystack Golf Club in Niwot for Lillian Kennedy’s Club Tuesday painting class Friday, March 5, from  5:30 – 8:30.

The show will be up all weekend and Lillian will be giving an acrylic landcape painting demonstration on Sunday at Haystack Golf Club from 1 – 3 p.m.

Lillian Kennedy has participated in the Open Studios Fall Artist Tour.

Mary has participated in the Open Studios Fall Artist Tour, Open Studios Spring Art Fair and Open Studios Holiday Market.

Free demo sessions offered by artist Pat Chapman on 2/27

On Saturday, Feb. 27 Pat Chapman will be giving free demo sessions at her studio.

She will demonstrate how to alter objects for use in assemblage. Techniques that will be covered are the use of brown wax to age objects, creating rusted objects with metal paint and patina, using tissue paper to resurface objects, altering figures to create hybrid creatures, and using a dremel cut off wheel.

There will be two demos given. One at 1:00 and one at 3:00. Please call (303) 953-1150 or email Pat at pat@thepatstudio.com to reserve a spot at one of the demo sessions. Demos are going to be limited to 12 people at each session.

Pat’s studio is at 3102 Palo Parkway in Boulder, two blocks north of Iris off 28th Street.

Free demos and Open Studio at artist Patricia Chapman’s this Saturday

This Saturday Jan. 30, Patricia Chapman will be opening her studio from 12:00 to 5:00. She will giving free demos of image transfer techniques including inkjet transparency film transfer, Extravorganza, and Inkjet Lazertran. These techniques can be used in collage, mixed media painting, or even adding images to objects for either decorative or art purposes. The free demos will take place at 1:00 and again at 3:00. The studio is at 3102 Palo Pkwy. Two blocks north of Iris, off 28th in Boulder.
